Insurance
At NHT Family Counseling, we require full payment upfront for all services. However, we understand the complexities of navigating insurance.
- PPO Plans (Out-of-Network): If you have a PPO plan and wish to seek reimbursement from your insurance provider, we can provide you with a super-bill upon request. This document details the services received and their associated costs, which you can submit to your insurer for potential reimbursement.
- PPO and HMO Plans (In-Network): If your insurance includes coverage for therapy with our therapists as in-network providers, we will directly bill your insurance carrier for the services rendered. However, please note the following:
- Deductible: You may be responsible for paying your full deductible upfront before insurance coverage kicks in.
- Co-payments: After meeting your deductible, you may be responsible for co-payments for each session. These will typically be collected at the time of service.
- Benefit Verification: We strongly recommend verifying your coverage details with your insurance carrier directly. This includes confirming your co-pay amounts, deductible, and coverage for out-of-network and in-network providers.
By understanding your specific insurance plan and its associated costs, you can make informed decisions about your treatment plan and financial responsibility.
Please note: This information is intended for informational purposes only and should not be taken as financial or legal advice. It’s crucial to consult with your insurance provider directly to fully understand your individual coverage details and obligations.
Good Faith Estimate Notice
In accordance with the No Surprises Act, we are required to provide you with a Good Faith Estimate (GFE) of the expected charges for our services. This estimate will help you understand the potential cost of therapy before you schedule an appointment.
Please note:
- This is an estimate, and the actual cost of your services may differ depending on your individual needs and the length of treatment.
- You have the right to request a GFE at any time, even if you have already scheduled an appointment.
- You can also request a GFE from any other therapist you are considering.
- This GFE is valid for 12 months from the date you receive it.
How to obtain a Good Faith Estimate:
- You can request a GFE by contacting us by email at admin@nhtfamily.com.
What the GFE will include:
- The cost of individual therapy sessions
- The cost of couples or family therapy sessions
- Any other services we offer, such as consultations or reports
- The payment options we accept
Additional Resources:
- You can learn more about the No Surprises Act on the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) website: https://www.cms.gov/files/document/gfe-and-ppdr-requirements-slides.pdf
We encourage you to review the GFE carefully and ask any questions you may have. We are committed to providing transparent and affordable mental health care services.
