Biography

Naris Kesheshe is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (License #121649) and holds an M.A. in Counseling Psychology with the Emphasis in Depth Psychology.

I received my B.A. in Sociology from California State University, Northridge (2009) and a M.A. from Pacifica Graduate Institute (2014). My early career involved assessing individuals’ ability to return to work as an assessor contracted by the Department of Labor, followed by a role as a case worker with the Department of Public Social Services, where I assisted individuals in finding employment.

During my pursuit of a Master’s degree, I served as a case manager for Didi Hirsch Mental Health Agency, gaining valuable experience in mental health support. I also worked as an ABA therapist, providing crucial assistance to children with emotional and behavioral issues both at homes and schools. My commitment to mental health continued during my graduate program internship at Counseling West in Sherman Oaks.

Post-graduation, I transitioned to Pacific Clinics, a DMH contracted agency, where I worked as a Mental Health Therapist, and currently work as a clinical supervisor along with my post at NHT Family Counseling. My diverse experiences have equipped me with a strong foundation in counseling and a passion for helping individuals navigate their mental health journey.

My Approach

My counseling approach is primarily depth-oriented, delving into the intricacies of the human psyche and addressing underlying needs. I believe in the profound impact of understanding and exploring the depths of one’s experiences to promote healing and personal growth.

I place a profound value on each person’s unique narrative, striving to create a safe and supportive space for individuals to explore their stories. My counseling approach extends beyond the immediate concerns, delving into intergenerational traumas to heal old wounds of the psyche.

In addition to my depth-oriented approach, I integrate cognitive therapy techniques into my counseling practice. By assisting individuals in navigating and restructuring their thoughts, I aim to empower them in overcoming challenges and fostering positive mental well-being.
